Task manager has been DISABLED by ADMINISTRATOR ?

Hi friends, this is me GAURAV SIKKA here to help you ENABLING YOUR TASK MANAGER.

Whenever you press ctrl+alt+dlt (Shortcut for task manager) & it shows ,



"Task manager has been DISABLED by administrator", you being the only user then it is due to some change in registery keys due to a tiny virus, most probably your Registery editor also will show the same message. So here is a way to get your Task manager enabled :

1.) Go to "Start" -> "Run" -> Write "Gpedit.msc" and press on "Enter" button.

2.) Navigate to "User Configuration" -> "Administrative Templates" -> "System" -> "Ctrl+Alt+Del Options"

3.) In the right side of the screen verity that "Remove Task Manager"" option set to "Disable" or "Not Configured".

4.) Close "Gpedit.msc"

5.) Just log off & log on.

NOTE: Keep your SYSTEM safe by updating your antivirus updated frequently (I prefer using SYMANTEC antivirus 10.0)

Folder options MISSING

Hi friends, This is Gaurav sikka(Click here to view my ORKUT profile)

Almost all of my friends have came across the virus that disables the "folder options" resulting in loss of all the Hidden files & folders, by the way Hidden files are not lost, its just that you cant see them.

For viewing HIDDEN files you can dirctly write the address of the file or folder that is Hidden, but who remembers the address so here is an easy way out.........

1.) Go to START > RUN & type gpedit.msc

2.) Hit ENTER

3.) Then goto:

User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Component -> Windows Explorer
in right-side pane, set "Removes the Folder Options menu item from the Tools menu" to Disabled.

4.) Apply & OK.

NOTE : If the Virus is still in your PC, you wont be able to use FOLDER OPTIONS for long it will again disable it as soon as possible, So SCAN your PC with a recently UPDATED ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE ( i prefer Symantec antivirus 10.0, this is a very common & old VIRUS & can be removed by any antivirus & has minimum risk level.
